- Devanagari, left to right
- Read from a picture or the camera
- Yes — the recognizer has language data for it (a one-time 1–5 MB download)

- Yes — a 39 MB voice, downloaded once — used by Dub and by the read-aloud button
- Formal / informal address checked
- Not yet — this language does not mark it, or the check does not cover it yet
- Language-specific checks
- Yes — one of the 18 languages with their own negation, quantity and meaning checks
- Measured quality
- COMET 79.3 — from English, 200 standard test sentences, with the checks on — a measured number, not a claim
How it works, in one paragraph
You type, paste, dictate or drop a file; the text is split into sentences and each one is drafted by the on-device engine, checked by the guards (a lost negation, a changed number, a missing name), and, where the checker is not satisfied, redrafted. The status line says which step it is on. Nothing is sent to a server — not for a hard sentence, not for a rare word. The privacy page of the guide spells out what that means.
