Status
Is it us, or is it you?
Checked live, every time you open this page — not a dashboard someone updates by hand after the fact.
What this page checks
The panel above asks the service directly, every time you open the page, and reports what came back. It covers the parts that live on our side: the website itself, the account and billing endpoints, and the downloads that serve language packs and app builds. Each check names what it measured and how long it took, so a slow answer is visible rather than rounded up to a green tick.
What an outage does not affect
Translation. It runs on your own device from a language pack you have already downloaded, so if our servers are unreachable your existing translation still works — text, documents, PDFs and pictures alike. That is the same property that makes the product private: there is no server in the path to go down.
What an outage can affect is signing in, billing, downloading a language pack you do not yet have, and reaching support. If you are already set up, most of a bad day on our side is invisible to you.
Common questions
- Is Traxlate down?
- The panel above is checked live each time you open this page, so it reflects the moment you asked rather than a status someone updated by hand. If it reports a problem, it names which part.
- If your servers are down, can I still translate?
- Yes. Translation runs on your own device from a language pack you already downloaded, so an outage on our side does not stop it. What an outage can affect is signing in, billing, downloading a new language pack, and support.
- Why does the page say translation cannot be measured?
- Because it happens on your machine, not ours. A green tick from a server would be a guess about a computer we cannot see. Saying so is more useful than a reassuring light we have no basis for.
- It is not working for me but the status says everything is fine.
- Then it is local: a language pack that has not finished downloading, a browser with site data cleared, or a network that blocks the download. The guide has the reinstall steps, and support can look at a specific account.
Still stuck
- Support — for something wrong with your account, a payment, or a file that will not translate.
- Language packs — where the pack lives on each platform, and how to reinstall one.
- Changelog — what shipped recently, in case the behaviour you are seeing is new.
